The WordPress Journey Begins: Why WP Odyssey Exists

When I started with WordPress back in 2010, I had no roadmap, no guide, and definitely no community. Just a deep curiosity, a lot of right clicking on websites to see their source code, and no end of trial and error.

It was frustrating, overwhelming, and at times, lonely. I lost count of how many hours I spent on Stack Overflow

Now all of these years later after building well over 200 WordPress website and hosting and maintaining the same number of websites on a monthly basis I’ve learnt a lot. That’s exactly why I decided to create WP Odyssey.

From Frustration to Freedom

I didn’t know how to build websites when I started. I taught myself by copying bits of code, breaking things, and slowly learning what worked. Then I discovered WordPress, and everything changed.

It gave me a better way to build websites. But even then, there were challenges:

  • Crashed servers
  • Hacked websites
  • No one to turn to when things went wrong

Every setback became a lesson. And looking back, those painful moments were the turning points in my journey. It is true what they say, you only learn from your mistakes.

Why I Created WP Odyssey

I wanted to build what I wish I had back then:
A place where beginners can learn, ask questions, and grow, without judgement or overwhelm. Honestly when I started out I was so scared to ask questions as I didn’t want the other ‘real’ web developers to think I didn’t know as much as them.

WP Odyssey is more than a course. It’s a community. A support system. A path forward to take you to your destination no matter what your starting point is.

Inside the free course, I’ll show you exactly how to:

  • Build your first WordPress website from scratch
  • Understand hosting, domains, plugins, and themes
  • Avoid beginner mistakes and set things up the right way

And if you want to go further, we have WP Odyssey Pro, which gives you access to advanced lessons, tools, and live support, but the free community alone will give you a solid foundation.

WordPress Is a Journey, Not a Destination! – Let’s Walk It Together

I called it WP Odyssey for a reason. This isn’t a destination. It’s a journey, one filled with challenges, breakthroughs, and a ton of growth along the way. The proof in this is that I am still experiences these even after 15 years of working with WordPress.

You don’t have to do it alone. I can help you.
